Induced at 40+4 by AROM due to high BP. In the hospital with midwives. Daddy got to catch! Baby was born posterior so I had a ton of extra pain and back labour. Only 2nd degree tearing this time and no episiotomy! I had a shot of oxytocin after to help my uterus contract since I have a history of postpartum hemorrage. It wasnt in my plan to push while laying on my back but that is just how I ended up. I was 7cm just minutes before this video was recorded. Went from 7cm to pushing in less then 10mins. Haylee was born after just 3 pushes.

  • I don't know who the woman was with the camera, but she should of shut up and let them savour the moment of first meeting their baby girl!!

  • @Snowflake34745 Hahaha That was my mother. It would have been nice, but she couldn't help it. It was emotional for her aswell! She planned on seeing our first baby (our son) be born but there were complications and I delivered in the OR with just hubby present, so she was so honoured and excited this time to be in the room.

  • the guy in black is so calm is that the boyfriend

  • @cul2cat That's hubby. Total natural birth advocate. There was no reason for him not to be calm. :)

  • Im really nervous Im 8 months and scared to death

  • @TheTheatregirl1995 Aww...nothing to be scared about :) Birth is a natural process. Trust your body, it knows exactly what to do. Do a lot of research on Natural Childbirth. Read books like The Birth Partner, Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth, Baby Catcher, etc. If you have Facebook search "Birth Geek" it is my page and 'like' it. There are always great posts and info on there, and you can ask questions and have them answered by professional Doulas and student Midwives.
