If you've never heard of a helmet doing its job for a jumper. You don't listen very well... Skydive helmets aren't as god as M/C helmets, but have saved many, many jumpers over the years. You're a fool not to wear one, but the choice is yours.
Of course, I only have >15yrs as a health care professional. Oh, & almost 30yrs riding/racing motorcycles. Hey, what do I know, right???

@neomuttley I have never once heard of a helmet protect anyone ever.. most people wear them as a place to stick their audible altimeter.. kinda sucks to jump without goggles/glasses but thats just me

can we have a moratorium on this song for skydive vids.. it was cool the first few times but somewhere around the 1500th video it started getting pretty unoriginal.. and frankly, alot of people have been lost skydiving.. a few of them friends of mine.. in kind of a downer

Your palms only sweat on your early jumps. The fear subsides. Besides, those lil Cessnas don't slow down anymore than 70mph, tops. The wind would dry them.
