  • the zx9r has a ram air system on it you need to have wind.. i smoke 900 rr all day on my 00 zx9r

  • i see a bos exhaust in the cbr and a stock exhaust in a ninja

  • yup ive seen the 900rr last to 100,000 miles on a couple cbr forums. treat em good they will outlast any bike out there. i was just wondering cause i always beat my buddies 99 zx9 with my 99 900rr and he said his bike has more power but he cant beat me now i know the truth he has more hp but is still slower must be a gearing thing.

  • wow thats odd it has more power but less top end speed huh interesting to know.

  • Yes budgetbuilder I have a 01 ZX9 stage 3 jets and a full muzzy pipe and -1+3 geared the jet kit made the biggest difference

  • man are u sure u used a zx9r??? my 99' zx does in 5th gear 275 on the speedometer.... and are u sure u know how many gears have that bike?

  • so has the 9r been dyno jetted? or was it just some dyno runns you did to check the bhp?

iv got black c1 too it idles quit lumpy is that normal for this modle? iv also been thinking about dyno jetting it, was there much more power after jetting?

    cheers Andy

  • Unless Mr Dynoman started in 2nd on the zx9 then he missed 6th gear. count the up changes.

I have same model and it defo has a 6th gear, and the same lumpy idle! lol

  • ZX9Rs defenatly have loapy idles and atrouciously noisy gearboxes at idle. But I love my 96' she runs great and will hold her own vs an R1 all day. Just won't turn with one. LOL but stock gearing only allows about 170 mph. But with about 140 hp it equates into some really hair raising acceleration that I've never experianced on a 900RR. Both great bikes though. Oh and all Hondas are really quiet at idle.

  • @aerotranslados ,i agree
