the r die just goes into a reloading press insted of a swaging press. would this be rugged enough to add polymer tips

Well, my press uses the same threading as that of a standard reloading press, I use it to reload with as well. I know that there are quite a few people using the RCBS Rockchucker press to swage their bullets and some of them make tipped bullets as well.

so are you using the point forming die to make the point and will a R-type die work for this?

not sure what a "R-type" is but the point forming die is the 3rd of in the set.

I had to laugh at the hollow point when the ejection punch cut into the air-soft pellet.

Great idea, ever thought about using them in the jacket and forming the tip over the pellet? Or even using them like the "bullet balls" at the rear of the jacket with the lead on top?

I have, but i couldn't get it to stabilize in flight, It was throwing off the center of the bullet and would't shoot at all.

Ammosmith has a video using CH dies and they are running under $100 and uses standard reloading presses.

Ienjoy the fact that i can tailor my bullet to meet my needs

Thanks for the reply in the long run it seems more economical and you know whats inside every round. The confidence factor alone is priceless.this companies product after comparison seems to be the best and straight foreward to this process. Am looking foreward to more videos on this subjuct.

for the whole set up, press and 3 die set cost me 800. The prices have gone up since then
