ISAF Chief of Staff, German Army Lt. Gen. Bruno Kasdorf presents the Gold Cross of Honor to members of 5-158th Aviation Battalion. A moment of great emotion, Allies of today. I received much hostesness when I was in the US as a soldier of the German Airforce.

I hope that our Allies in Afghanistan now recognize the German forces are different than the figures in "Hogans Heros" , "Rat Patrol" and so forth ..

@TheBUCKSHOT007 You have no idea about the real world. No one calls the Marines. It is all bullshit that the Marines like potential recruits to believe. Only the weak minded believe it. A little education for you. First in is SF. It will be a mix of SF, from Army, Navy, Marines, and even Air Force but mostly Army. SF take on high priority targets and work with locals to gain support. Then come the Army Rangers to further prep the battlefield. Then a mix of Army and Marine ground forces.

it's more like a silver star or distinguished service cross, the medal of honour equivalent would be a higher grade of the same order: "Cross of Honour for Bravery"
