Love Thad's plunger mute sounds on Jazz Cornet!

Sounds good! Just listen to his pianoplaying!

Sounds good!

can't we continue down the path of progressive jazz?

Caught the sextet in Copenhagen. Wonderful to relive it! Barre Philips on bass, Garnett Brown on trombone and the surprise here, must be Bernt Rosengren on tenor (was Joe Farrell in Cope if I remember correctly)

Awesome seeing George on keys too. I was honored to play the last concert of this tune w/ George and Sheila last September. You'll be missed King George.

Could well be David Baker on trombone. Recent photos show him with mustache and goatee, making it hard to compare, but it resembles earlier pictures, and he was recording with Russell back then. The tune here, of course, is "You Are My Sunshine," which Sheila Jordan famously recorded with Russell on "The Outer View."
what a treasure to have this!!!
