    It's not only about the value of the dollar. Fact is that worldwide demand is increasing exponentially and is a factor that far exceeds the value of the dollar.Gas prices affect the economy and, so, the "line" is similar.

    uhh. fangsea. What you say is wrong. Taxes are a fixed amount and do not fluctuate up and down. The tax per gallon remains fixed whether the price is $1 per gallon or $100 per gallon. Please research things before espousing your vast knowledge of the subject.
