Environment is perceived with a laser range finder (Hokuyo). Katana acts without colliding with obstacles. The scene recognition and the mobile manipulation is done autonomously.

  • Nice, but can the robot determine whether the cups still contain some liquid? If so then dropping one into the other would not be a good strategy. Also dropping cups into a bin might not be a good way of tidying them up. If they're not made of plastic, they could break.
