This documents the essence of the Refused Classification (in Australia) film "Salo" by Pier Pasolini.
It includes the opening credits, a few scenes from the movie (no nudity, fake blood, chocolate or marmalade), the closing scene and the final credit.
Full (uncut) versions are legal in France, New Zealand, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden and were legal in Australia (rated R) from 1993 to 1998.

I didn't really understand the purpose of this film. were they trying to explain the ideas of a fascist libertine? I saw the whole film, but didn't really get the meaning behind it.

@UltimateTibu Don't bother. Read 120 days of Sodom. Good luck getting through it. Or just eat a large meal, watch some soft porn and get someone to punch you in the stomach until you vomit. You'll get the same result.

Saw this film at the Valhalla mid nineties. It was pretty awful to watch but banned again? Really? Honestly, I found Hostel way more disturbing. I have to wonder also, if this film is banned then why aren't the works of the Marquis De Sade? Is it just because less people read? Besides, the Director was shot wasn't he? If that's a fair price to pay for making a god awful film then half of Hollywood should be dead.
