It all began when Spears took center stage at the MTV VMA awards to introduce the nights ceremonies. She then went on to sweep the show, taking home awards in three categories. Id say that in comparison to her infamous performance last year, the fact that shes still around is pretty amazing. .
Critics of the pop princess deem her current comeback effort a bit lackluster, but I choose to believe that shes going for a slow build-up. Spears 6th studio album Circus will be released on December 2nd, which by the way will also be her 27th birthday. The success of this album will be proof as to whether or not Spears still has what it takes.

The first single from the album, which is entitled Womanizer, was leaked on the internet last week and is already spreading like a California wildfire. In an interview with New York radio station z100, Spears said a world tour is definitely in the works in 2009.

And of course, what would a comeback be without the quitenseential sex tape scandal. Apparently Spears and her team are working overtime to prevent the release of a sex tape featuring Spears and her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. He says hes willing to sell it and has already been offered 5 million dollars. I say, hes totally scummy. Britney seems poised to make a comeback and I wish her all the luck in the world.
