HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A former Cincinnati Water Works chemist avoids jail time at sentencing Wednesday. A judge gave Funsho Alatishe four years probation, 500 hours of community service and a 5,000 dollar fine for tampering with records and attempted theft in office. He faced up to 13 years in prison. Alatishe must also repay Water Works 1,000 dollars for work he didn't do. He failed to take required samples for tests and falsified laboratory and drinking water records multiple times. A Water Works spokesperson says there was never any danger to the water supply.
