Practising Emergency Medical Service in the mountains is extremely challenging. High altitude, extreme temperatures, strong winds, unpredictable weather, weight issues, limited resources and no place for mistakes.
The Alpine Rescue Center offers courses on a high level that prepares mountain rescuers for the challenging operations under extreme conditions.
After successfully completing the courses, a rescuer or paramedic might achieve the International Diploma of Mountain Emergency Medicine for Emergency Physicians or Paramedics, certified by ICAR, UIAA and ISMM.
