From a 1947 Tony Pastor 'short' (what they called them before they became known as "music videos"). Unfortunately, the names of these (twin?) sisters are still not known. At least not by me.

  • The Nilsson Twins. Elsa and Eileen. Eileen is my mother. Thank you whoever found this it's amazing to see them.

  • @1debbieann That is SO terrific to hear that you get to see this clip of your mom. I passed that news along to my dad. He's the drummer for this clip (heard, not seen). It's from HIS copy of the 16mm film that I was able to make this post. Long story!

  • These are the NILSSON TWINS. Elsa is on the left, Eileen on the right. I know. Elsa is my mother. My mother, Elsa married an Air Force B 17 bomber pilot. who is my father. She later married a record producer and they formed Del Fi Records, which recorded the legendary Ritchie Valens. In fact, Mom gave Ricardo Valenzuela the name Ritchie Valens. She had three other sons besides me, who are all in music to this day. One scores for CSI. I'm a lawyer and can't carry a tune in a bucket..

  • @7959D That is terrific to finally learn after all these years of not knowing who these delightful gals are. I'm looking forward to passing this info along to my dad and the rest of my family. So glad you found this clip!

  • Have you considered Rosemary and Betty Clooney. They sang with the Pastor band from 1946 through 1949

  • @offischer oh absolutely. This is not them. My dad is the drummer (heard not seen) in this clip. He played with Rosie when she was just starting out (see Hawaiian War Chant). Thank you for you input though.

  • This is so cool. The Nilsson Twins are cousins of my mother, I'm so happy to find this. My dad saw them at a hotel in NYC one time in the '50s--he was amazed b/c when they chatted w/ him one would pick up the other's sentence in the middle and just keep going. Somewhere I have some '78s w/ them & Spike Jones.

  • Aww this is so full of win! Love it!
