Was the group inside of the piano when this was recorded? This really would have been a great song if it weren't for that extremely loud and out of tune, out of beat piano. I still thought enough of it to post it. Take a look at the label.. This is the rare variation that doesn't list a group name.
You are so right PJ I think this is a killer tune. The music was sufficient and has a nice vocal group who can harmonize well. Someone must have been experimenting and it's possible this piano was put in after the fact. Who really knows. All I know is ... they killed a killer. Thank you for sharing this one.
Washington DC and Baltimore actually had a lot of labels. Most were regionally confined and rarely seen up our way. Winn had a release by The Marvels that I think is very good - "For Sentimental Reasons" and one by The Gales that I never heard before.
@PJDooWop But they were so teeny-tiny though. The only "big" shakers of talent was Lillian Claiborne who owned DC and Max whathisname who owned the Waxie Maxie record stores.

The boot is the same way. No group listed. The quality shows why so few labels were based in the Baltimore-DC area.
