Space Shuttle pilots practice landing the Shuttle using a modified Learjet. We do the same. We use the ground track that STS-114 would have used on orbit 217, which utilises the south HAC at KSC.

  • WERE did u get that

  • Not sure what you are referring to... the scenery? the simulator? the flight plan?

  • Awesome Where did you get that scenery? Is that the X68 Nasa Space Shuttle Airbase?

  • It's Aerosoft's Cape Canaveral product. Yes, it's the X68 facility.

  • @khaneealarabi Wrong.

Grounded is what it did when Challenger blew up.

Grounded is what it did after Columbia disintegrated.

    It's just OVER!!!!

  • TOUCH DOWN

  • Class Touch down. So sad the Shuttle programme is grounded :(

  • +1 for the voice of the Foldger's commercial!!!

  • You're amazing

  • Hey @trechan - Well, that was actually video 2 NOT a previous video. He corrected his misstatement in the second video AFTER someone correctly pointed out the STA is actually a Gulfstream G2. "He is smart enough to know this because he recreated the HAC" What the hell are you talking about? That has nothing to do with making a misstatement about the type of aircraft shuttle pilots use to train for approaches. And the approach they fly in the G2 is done with engines in reverse and spoilers.

  • @TWA717 He knows this and even pointed this out in the previous video. He's smart enough to know this because he was able to recreate the HAC precisely and execute a MLS perfectly.

  • nice approach ; - D

  • The STA (Shuttle Training Aircraft) is not a modified Learjet in real life. It is actually a modifed Gulfstream G2 (not a GIII or Learjet) and they can be seen shooting Approach and Landing sorties at KSC shortly before the launch of a space shuttle mission. This is the wrong type aircraft depicted in the video. It should be a GII.

  • @csmoothey wat simulator is that fsx?
