Actual demonstration of the device begins at around 10:35.

Tan Le, co-founder and president of Emotiv Systems, gives a live demo of a mind control device that uses a person's thoughts to input computer commands.

EG is the celebration of the American entertainment industry. Since 1984, Richard Saul Wurman has created extraordinary gatherings about learning and understanding. EG is a rich extension of these ideas - a conference that explores the attitude of understanding in music, film, television, radio, technology, advertising, gaming, interactivity and the web - The Entertainment Gathering

Tan Le is an Australian telecommunications entrepreneur, businesswoman and the 1998 Young Australian of the Year. She is president and co-founder of Emotiv Systems.

  • @zz4r people who are missing limbs can be given artificial limbs and they can control them using electrical currents that run through their brain. i know for the simple minded they can't understand this so i will elaborate. lets say i come to your house with a shotgun and blow your fucking arm off, you then are missing an arm. with this technology you will eventually be given an artificial arm that you can control just like a regular one so you can continue masturbating and whatnot

  • LOL WHAT GOOD COULD A MIND CONTROL MACHINE TO DO WORLD?

  • @zz4r imagine no keyboard or mouse.... just by thinking about it, it happens

  • @zz4r Stephen Hawking's only means of communication is a muscle in his left cheek. This would allow him to speak, along with countless other people with disabilities that leave vibrant minds trapped in uncooperative bodies. We're in the STONE AGE of human-machine interfaces, using button panels and virtual fingers. Voice recognition is a next step to naturalizing our interactions with machines, but there are noise and privacy implications. Reading thoughts will be the *ultimate* interface.

  • In the introduction she explained the program only registering pleasure displeasure or likes and dislikes. But in the demonstration she showed actual manipulation or control using thought which means she's far beyond what they originally created the device for. I can imagine how much more they've advanced this technology since this video. It's pretty exciting.

  • I found it interesting that they already jumped ahead of what she was describing in the introduction.

  • gawd she puts me to sleep...

  • I was expecting a mind control device, not a video game you can play with your mind...

  • this shit causes cancer i can guarantee it.

  • FAKE

  • @PIFFthePUFF420 Only shotgun blasted arm people need to apply !!

  • @1aMattes Better yet. You get an IRON MAN suit and do pretty much anything!!
