    Western Culture or Western Civilization means from European origin, and not the East or Far East such as Asia. Before the New World there was Asia in the East connected to Eurpoe in the West. The term Western has nothing to with John Wayne unless you are talking about movies. You will see when you get to college and perhaps take Western Civ(civilization)
