Guinness Dry Stout clone on tap pouring through a stout faucet with co2 only. Sitting on 15 psi @ 45-50 deg. Nice creamy head and beautiful bubbles.

  • We are not given much info.

I regularly make a Guinness stout clone & it tends to form a foamy head very readily.

Bottles when cold not too much of a problem, but from the keg with 5 psi CO2 I get more foam than I want.

I guess this type of stout needs careful control at evry step to get optimum results.

  • visual is not similar at all!

  • 15 psi would make it taste over carbonated (altough the visual effect is pretty similar). That's why it should be dispensed using nitrogen mix. You can raise the pressure to a number as high as 25-30 psi (that would give a nice creamy head), and still have a beer that tastes like a 8 psi co2 only.

  • @beaubicknese No... nitrogen is necessary.

  • Does it taste the same as nitrogen? Please help
