To all you Jeet Kune Do'ers out there.. Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do incorporates High kicks such as these and similar! and to Unlearnt, you have an opinion about something, doesn't mean its plausible.. There's only one way to find out if it works, to use it.. Bruce Lee understood this. Don't say that you think or have an opinion about something unless you've tested it. and then again just cause you couldn't use a strike effectively doesn't mean someone else can't!

I never was taunt that

mmmmmmm

@RedEyePergo they do, when done right. When done fast, it is really hard to block. If you're thinking that there's no power, force=mass * acceleration
-
no way i can get that high with my legs lol
-
@unlearnt girly slap no that shit as knockout power i took a guy out with this kick to the chest were the solarplex is at and he dropped and it can be a really fast kick if you modify it to a front leg Axe kick but never throw a leg kick in a street fight above the belt only kick the body when given a wide opening

Thank you very much for the very good tutorial

do axe kicks really work. they seem. really tricky to use and weak.

And if i were to face this sorta kick i will just punch him right in the face using straight leap punch(JKD).. i mean if i'm faster which is normally common since punches are usually faster than kick(unless it's a jumping back kick it would be another story) And also even if this kick hitted me it will not be an major issue it's just like getting a girly slap from ontop.

I do alittle bit of martial art here and there(more of wing chun and JKD) and in my opinion i think using this kick is a very bad choice. From my understanding it will not deliver fatal damage well when u lift your leg upward ur leg's strength as it's an instantaneous outburst of energy..however if u lift and turn ur leg in another direction in a stand-still position the power of your leg will decrease greatly...
Nice training video. I love the way TKD kicks. Very fast. Keep posting guys. We love it.

That is 45 degrees, he is talking about the angle of the leg from a view directly above. 45 degrees is 1/8 of a turn. Its 45 degrees from directly forward. Its simple maths.
