I had a system with E8500 @ 4.6ghz 4850 crossfire on the X38-DQ6

So much better than the rest :P

get 2 5770's

5770's are basically 4870's with DX11 PixelShader 5.0 and 1GB of GDDR5 (each!)

and 5770's are quieter, cooler, and lower power consumption (only 1 6Pin PCIe connector per card).

An intel cpu with LGA775 Socket like the

Core 2 Duo & the Core 2 Quad processors

I recommend Giagabyte P45-UD3 for like 200$.

Core i7 920 CPU or higher have 1366 socket and only an X58 MOBO works with that.

The card is fine .. how about the new 5870

if u have the money.
