Lunar Halo - 20th July 2008

At 1:30am July 20th (Sydney time), the moon was covered by thin clouds. It was able to shine through and create an enormous and beautiful ring or halo surrounding it.

And so we thought we'd share with you some shots that me and my sister's boyfriend took of this unquie occurance.

You will be very interested to know that a halo, or a ring around the Moon, (like the one seen in your video) is called "A Liars Moon".. How appropriate is that?!? .. LOL
