  • I have high hedges all around the garden to keep cold drying winds out and I also put plastic rooves over the more tender plants in winter.

  • Very nice. How is the garden with this hard winter?

  • What is the secret to keeping these exotics alive during cold months? is it the micro climate within the garden?

  • Stunning that Kev.

  • The coldest period for our island was in mid December for a period of 10 days. Coldest temp. I recorded was a chilly -7.4C. Most everything in my garden did very well through the cold snap. A few really tender Eucs. took a beating but some have refoliated. I'm thank full our island is very sheltered and wind is never problem here during cold periods. Cheers
