@a330ftw It depends, my squadron flies a 182 turbo prop..which is a 172 on steroids. It depends on what plane your squadron has. Btw each cadet gets 5 free O flights, each flight you fly for about an hour. It will NOT count towards your licence

@capflt1876 Ok one..they are O "flights" and two, i doubt it dude...you dont just, land a plane.

Hi, I'm thinking about joining. I am 15 yrs old and I just wanted to know, if I was a cadet, and I got proper training would I be able to fly with a pilot next to me in. A cessna 172??

On COFs, cadets do not take controls in landing or takeoffs.
