SUPERCUTE!, New York City's teen-indie-bubblegum-pop sensation, presents their world debut video "'Not To Write About Boys"! The band features Rachel Trachtenburg (16, of the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players) and her bffs Julia Cumming (14) and June Lei (13). The video, directed by Sherief Elkatsha with art direction by Shawn Patrick Anderson, features a cameo appearance from singer, songwriter and Supercute! friend Jack Skuller... as the "boy" in question.
"Not To Write About Boys" is a song the New York Times calls "incisive and cynical about inter-band relations: two group members fall for the same guy, then realize its tearing the group apart, and sacrifice the guy for the sake of friendship. For kids, it's dark stuff." (Jon Caramanica, 1/10/10)
Supercute! is now opening for Kate Nash on her current North American tour, which started in Toronto on April 26th and ends in Los Angeles on May 11th.

the only reason they got a record deal is because her parents are musicians. it's upsetting that these "cutesy" girls get famous and get to tour with kate nash and some others don't. it's sad.

BEWARE SUPERCUTE, WHO RIP OFF OTHER ARTISTS AND GIVE THEM NO CREDIT. This song was called "I Want A Boyfriend" until I harangued them to go in an opposite direction. Not cool, girls. Not giving credit to people who HELP you is the worst thing possible. Even HITLER didn't take all the credit for Nazi Germany!
