@StanwoodSpartans as far as i understand it, you only need 2 touch 1 pollen grain onto a pistil, for the plant 2 then grow a seed [within the calyx the (now pollinated) pistil is growing out of] but as nature is unable to operate like this she has the female grow large, (relatively) wispy buds, in order 2 catch the pollen blowing from the males in the wind. saying that, im not sure about the energy redirection that must occur in the plant 2 make seed, does it affect bud growth?

@fenixcats you could try isolating the pollen, say in a jar.. then using a fine brush, or even something like a needle, apply a tiny amount of pollen to a lower cola, making sure its downwind of the plant... i remember reading something about isolating a branch with some sort of bag, but i cant remember what material the bag was made of... :(
