I have searched a real metal band for a long time. I listened Metallica but I wanted harder stuff (I still like them but way more less than Slipknot). Then I checked Slipknot and I loved their sound immediately as I love now. This is just what I want from a band I listen. Fuckin' brutal and sick stuff. And I'm a girl :D

@Chilech2 yeah I think a little bit 'CAUSE
1. there's more emotion,"darkness" and brutalness in Slipknot music and lyrics
2. Corey growls and "roars" more than James.
so I think these two things example make music harder(and there can be, of course more reasons too)
But that's only my fucking opinion and you can make your own. Just shut up and listen fuckin' music.
