West Warwick, RI: Pawtuxet River - March 30, 2010 Flood

This is the intersection of Providence Street and Wakefield Street in West Warwick, RI. I live about 200 yards uphill from this location which is usually 150 yards from the Pawtuxet River. It was 20' over flood level at 7:30am on 03/31/10 when I filmed this and it threatened to rise another 2 - 5 feet in the following hours. So many homes have been lost in Rhode Island and Massachusets.

@bmi914 I can't imagine being in your shoes. So many people have been completely screwed because of this. There have been three buildings that have been demolished by the bridge. Best of luck trying to rise above this trajedy!

@konvictmuzik34 Must have been a loooong time ago! When did that school close? I grew up in NP so I wasn't familiar with this school other than it was at the Providence Street intersection with Wakefield Street. It was closed down by the time I came to this town in 2004. At any rate, crazy situation when that flood happened. LOTS of people out of home and business :o(
