Goodbye for now Juliani Cardenas

Tuesday morning, a child's body was found in a California canal by a water authority employee. Later in the day, authorities confirmed the body is that of missing 4-year-old boy, Juliani Cardenas.

Juliani was with his grandmother on Jan. 18 when police say he was snatched by his mother's ex-boyfriend, Jose Rodriguez, 27. Reports indicate Tabitha Cardenas broke up with Rodriguez about five months ago.

On the day Juliani went missing, Rodriguez had appeared at Tabitha's house to see him. Tabitha -- who is carrying Rodriguez's unborn child -- told him he was sleeping and had a cold. Juliani's school called later that day saying Rodriguez had showed up asking to spend time with the 4-year-old. Later in the afternoon, Tabitha received a frantic call from her mother, who said Rodriguez had returned and grabbed Juliani out of her arms.

ABC News reports that Stanislaus Sheriff Adam Christianson said Tuesday afternoon that officials had confirmed the body found in the Central Valley Delta-Mendota Canal was that of Juliani.

Friday, Rodriguez's car was found in the 117-mile canal, but it was empty. On Sunday, divers their search of canal waters for the boy and his alleged abductor.

Rodriguez's body was not recovered, thus a homicide warrant has been issued against him.

Rodriguez is described as a 27-year-old Hispanic male who is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white and black shirt, checkered shorts, and a beanie.

ABC notes, however, that investigators believe Rodriguez will likely be found in the canal as well.

It broke my heart to hear the mother cry. there's nothing sadder than a grieving mother. I ask God why do people keep killing and hurting our children who could do such a thing? Only a satanic monster. There are so many cases that have really saddened me. Caylee Anthony, HaLeigh Cummings, Hailey Dunn and so much more. I pray for the day when there will be no more wickedness. RIP innocent Juliani. =(

i cried as i watched this and than too look down at the previous comments,its cold and heartless to write something so negative when this family and community is going through a grieving process ,let this little boy rest in peace,don't write anything if its not positive, this family has enough going on, they need as much love as they can receive,so stop hating,please,its not morally right to post such things!!!!!!!!!!
