Every Saturday night in the Florida Keys, a little roadside pub under a big neon sign turns into a free-for-all jam session, where local musicians perform for drinks, applause and lots of free advice. The Overseas Lounge, mile marker 48 on the Overseas Highway, owned by Bev and Roy Dickens, is a historic landmark that played a key role in the Keys' "Wild West Days," known for speakeasies, prostitution, and smuggling. Today the renovated pub serves as a hurricane shelter for local boaters, a great place to grab a bite, a popular pool hall, and a rock and blues joint on weekends. In this short video, local guitar man Dockside Tim sings the classic rock favorite "Crossroads."
In addition to Dockside Tim on rhythm guitar and vocals, we have Michael J on lead guitar, Lee Ferrari on bass, and John the Drummer on the drums. Special thanks to Roy Dickens on sound board and lights.
