@lightningsmokerXx he was worthy.....not because his predecessor really wanted to retire......but because the execs ignored a segment of the population thinking his brand would fit all and they wanted to capitalize on him. Conan should have for that reason felt used and said no to the contract and done his new cable show. Not otherwise. The Tonight Show was never something to be just handed. And that's what happened here because of greed etc. ** I See what ur saying but I don't agree @ all **

@lightningsmokerXx Last yes Rosie did get it wrong.........because she insinuates that Jay was the wrong and did Conan in. AND WHY DOES SHE THINK THAT......because he made the mistake of saying publicly he was going to retire....because it was less shameful for him & he figured he was done. Well when someone offers you a job and say they don't want the other guy, when you were taken from the job you did well & fought for worked for scrambled for...you don't say no. Conan was given his first show

@lightningsmokerXx .....rightfully so........but still. He was never going to get The Tonight Show back in 2010 once they realized uh oh we messed up. The only way he woulda got it if Leno had completely retired. & he let them know he planned to be around in some capacity in entertainment. Leno was forced out not because they thought Conan was better but because they thought they could make more money. WELL THEY UNDERESTIMATED THE MARKET & THE AUDIENCE. Conan OVERESTIMATED his show &the audience

@lightningsmokerXx .....off of the money he makes from doing stand up at clubs, vegas etc. HE hasn't touched any of his tonight show earnings. SO I THINK CONAN WOULD BE JUST FINE. The guy wrote for the simpsons/went to harvard....when you work at the tonight show you aren't gonna have a problem getting hired elsewhere even if it is a "lesser" job.

5- So NBC brings Jay back cuz they realized they f%cked up.......well it's Conan's ego/pride that prevented him from taking back the role he was at.
