The National - Clampdown (Cover)

This one's lovely. A cover by The National of The Clash's "Clampdown", off their legendary album London Calling (1979). It's much more.. 'controlled' and quiet than the original version, so Clash fans may or may not hate it. I enjoy both versions, personally!

Released: This is off a tribute album to The Clash by various arists called.. A Tribute to The Clash. Can't really find any physical copies, but I think it may be available on iTunes for those interested.

The albums (there were two) came with issues of Mojo about 8 years back. I have the physical copies but they are pretty rare.
