Walker was found beaten and unconscious on a side street near the Las Vegas Strip. (June 24)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] Las Vegas police have made an arrest in the robbery and beating of Oakland Raider Javon Walker.Arfat Fadel was taken into custody last Friday on unrelated charges and booked on the Walker case while he was being held at a county jail.Authorities say Fadel and another man stole 3 thousand dollars in cash and 100 thousand dollars worth of jewelry from the N-F-L player.The loot hasn't been recovered and police are still searching for that second suspect.According to investigators... the suspects and the football player didn't know each other, but they were seen partying in the same clubs the night before. They say Walker willingly got into a vehicle with the men before he was assaulted...robbed...and dropped off about a block off the Vegas strip.He was found laying in the street unconscious early last Monday morning... suffering from a concussion and significant facial injuries.As for the suspect in custody...police say he's already got a long criminal history that spans across several states. He's due in Las Vegas court on the Walker case on Wednesday.
