Blinky Harness Preview

Here's a preview of the blinky LED harness that I built to wear while on the playa during Burning Man 2010. Took me a few weeks to build this prototype, and I still need to add in a bunch of programs for new patterns.

Hi Orzel, Good job on the LED harness as well as the programming aspect of it. :-) Good, not that I will not be the only one lighting up the rave floor.  ;-) I am presuming you built this from scratch like I built mine? With the programming, I am guessing you did A LOT of wiring or multiple wire cables.

@novazax You were the original inspiration for this. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Built from scratch. I use an Arduino nano as the brains, and a couple hundred feet of wire. There is a pair of wires for each LED leading back to the central control box.

Hi Orzel, Thanks for your reply. **touched @ original inspiration** I am not surprised about building from scratch, since you cannot find already assembled parts for a harness. I know Nitro Shep and Spark Fox assembled a system of commercially available parts, but it is not a complete system like ours is. Couple hundred feet of wire? Yes, I can understand that. We shall light up a room together!! ;-)

Oh yeah...that will be quite a bright site on playa. Thanks for not being a darkwad. I cant tell you how many people I tripped over because they didnt even have a few glowsticks to keep illuminated with. . ;)
