Patrick McGoohan starred in 86 episodes of Danger Man which ran from 1960-61 and again from 1964-67. However, he is primarily known for the 18 episodes of his landmark series, The Prisoner. Yes. I said 18. He reprised the role of Number 6 one last time 33 years after the ending of the original series. I can't say where or I'll wake up on the island. Be seeing you.

  • Note that Brian Clements, who co-wrote the episode of "Danegr Man" these credits were taken from, later wrote and co-produced "The Avengers".

  • @altfactor One wishes that Mr. Clemens could possibly have that one last great TV programme to go out on. But even forty years on, what could ever top "THE AVENGERS"?

  • 'twas the simpsons wasn't it? shame he wasnt in the AMC mini-series

  • Apparently he was too dead to participate except in spirit.

  • @chuckcollins Actually Patrick Mc Goohan died last year at 80.

On the Simpson´s characther he did the voice

  • @valesueyro And what a wonderful job he did, too, of everything he ever did while he was here. I am glad his reputation and career never had to be sullied by the taint of this ignomious mini-series that should have never seen the light of day.

  • @thepnc Patrick McGoohan would have been the perfect "Number 2" in a "Prisoner" remake!

  • Sounds a bit like The Man From UNCLE.

  • This show seemed to have changed theme songs quite often!

I like this one. Even though it doesn't really "go anywhere" it creates a great mood. The combination of the music and the night-time shots of that supremely modern/international style office building make this one of the most captivating closing titles ever.

  • The coolest TV spy ever.

  • from what i understand he was offered the role of the "old man" in the beginning of the series but he wanted to play #2 instead
