Actually, the main reason he started for Holland first and foremost was because Robben was always injured. In fact, Robben didn't play a single game during the qualification rounds for EURO 2012.

@dsdan83 yeah but he wants to keep getting better so why play at a team you cn't learn anymore because even tough he did not play that much you could how much better he has got just by watching the netherlands games he played all of them since he joined barca and after the WC he played everysingleone of them in the starting 11 that's huge considdering the netherlands got second place in the WC and there 1 of the favorites to win the european title (sorry for my bad english)

@dsdan83 After being subbed in during the champions league semi final, he assisted Messi's first goal against Real Madrid that put Barcelona in the lead. So he didn't contribute to the champions league performance at all? Yea I didn't think so

he contributed nothing to that champions league victory though. and he recently tore his cruciate ligament and is out for 6-8 months. so he's not doing just fine. keep up with the play lad.
