My ps3 is doing this now..it's easy to get past tho, all u have to do is press eject while holding down the power button the push the disc back in when it pops out, it works for me all the time or just turn it on with the controller.

sorry but this is what you get for trying to get shit on ebay...i got the ylod on mine so i bought a new one on gamestop 1 year warranty. i did think about ebay but i said..."hmmm no (this can happen).

ehh that sucks. Have had mine for about 4 years

my first one did it as well. the original 60s and 80s had bad overheating problems and it just got to the point where it would just do what you just showed on the video. had to take the damn thing apart to get my game out of it. toss it and buy a new one. its not worth fixing thats what i did.
Unplug power and HDMI cable, get the vacuum cleaner, use it all the open areas, on the sides, back, front, then plug the power and HDMI cable back in the ps3, turn it on and play =) I just did that now, wanted to tell you what i did to fix it, since everything else i did didn't work, tell me if this helps you =)

@MrJoachim1990 thanks man but I have also tried this too, the machine will not come on no matter what I do. I have sent it off to be fixed as they will Reball & Reflow The Cpu, Gpu, Ram & Other Chips, This Means they will remove the chips with Infrared Rework/Reballing Machine & reinstall them with new solder. No doubt what you have done is a short term fix and very likely to happen again. Hope what you have done lasts long enough for you to backup your stuff and de-activate your account.

mine is doing the same exact thing... i had a dvd trapped inside my console too when my ps3 decided to die. if you turn on the system via the main power switch in the back while pressing down on the eject button the console will perform a fan test, which should also eject the disk.

@slowerorbit I have tried this and still got nothing, just the same thing as I showed in the video. But thanks for the input :)
