Ruthie Baker sings "I Won't Mind" (by Jeff Blumenkrantz) from her cabaret "Of Mutts and Men", presented 12.16.07 by the New York Theatre Barn at the Duplex
I don't get why the audience finds it funny - perhaps because the singer isn't conveying the desperate sadness of this song about a woman who has miscarried and cannot have children of her own. Tuning is out quite a bit too.
Really love this song. Nice job. Perhaps a bit heavy, but overall working with that accompanist was admirable. Would definitely get a new accompanist.
