StreetFighter 4 PC
Acer 5920g with Ati HD 4650.
Game setting:
1280x720
60 FPS
Particles: Med
Softshadows: High
Everything else: Max

Update:
1280x800 Everything Max
Has now been achieved, with 60fps gameplay.
Seems Fixed framerate helped without major noticable frames dropped when skipping a few frames. Only in Some Ultras Animation.

  • notebookreview forums has all the info you need.

  • Hey, why do you have particles on medium? that GPU should be able to handle this game perfectly with all settings on high.

I played it on an AMD 3500+ single core at 2.2ghz with 1.5gb of ram and an old 6800gt on stock speeds with all the highest settings, vertycal sync and a resolution of 1280x720...

So your laptop should be able to handle it on the highest settings!

  • Yea I know, for some reason, this ATI takes a huge performance hit with particles on high at 1280x720+ resolutions, lower resolutions it can manage it. I guess thats laptop graphics for you.

The weird part is it will manage everything Maxed without v-sync and run at 67fps average, so I suspect the drivers need a lot more work. Or a vsync bug?

  • This is amazing! I have the same machine, but with the rubbish HD 3470 card.

When I installed that game it was like playing in treacle unless you put res to 640x480 and everything on low.

Dude, I am going to have to track on of those cards down.

Did you manage to install it easily?

  • @HenkSpankK

Yeah, I have the same question as you do. I know the 5920g can handle this card (its an MXM2 card) and I want it to, but cannot find it anywhere!!!!! WHERE DID U BUY THIS PIECE OF WONDER???!?!?!

  • Was the 4650 an afthermarket upgrade? If so, Is it the ddr3 or the ddr2 version of the card. And lastely what cpu do you have.

  • It might be the drivers since ATI are infamous for that.

Have you tried setting the FPS to "fixed"? because if you set it to variable usually performance is much slower or can just well..."vary" too much.

  • were did you buy the ati mobility ?
