As China continues to rise in the ranks of the global economic stage, is there any reason for the U.S. or the West to be threatened? Some in the U.S. seem to think so. RT's Adriana Usero digs deeper and examines these attitudes.

The US can't keep it's superpower status for long. They are a nation of 310 million, in a world with 7 billion people. In any way you slice it -- national debt, GDP, health, education, and employment figures -- the USA is a superpower in decline. They'll continue to have the most powerful military in the world for the next decade or so, but won't have the money to run it for much longer. I believe there was another superpower in similar decline back in the 1980's...

If the west had more get up and go!! then they could complain rightfully. China is smart it keeps its bank in line and their a proud nation. Chinese people know hard work and they know and see that other countries are getting weaker and sloppy. I don't regret their mannerisms. They want respect and will give respect where its deserving. If the U.S. cant get its act in gear and look for solutions to correct the problem then China will just keep on going and not look back.

@Pelavitafan China doesn't care if the USA is afraid of them. China's aim for its bullish economic activities is to build up a better 21st century.
