A Trip To Julian, California

A day trip to Julian, California, an apple-oriented rustic village up on the mountain just east of San Diego. It used to be a gold mining town (until the gold ran out, that was). Now it is famous for apple pie and cider. We went up on 79 via Lake Cuyamaca. It's recovering nicely from the Witch Creek fire, I think.

I meant to, bro, but we ran out of time. Was gonna go back up there the Tuesday before X'Mas but the trip got wiped out because of a storm. Next time I make it up there I'll eat up the Pie Co for sure (along with stopping at that Cheesecake shop just SW of it). ;o)

What you're calling Mt. Cuyamaca is actually Stonewall Peak.
