  • Hey my little love bird. I was in my 20's in the 80's and let me tell you, it didn't matter - from what I saw. Dark / Light I saw all shades doing their thing. and why are you soooo focused on color? That's kind of limiting and puts people in a box. Is that your intention, my little love bird?

  • try being native american.

  • Miss Tko I was born in 86 and I can tell you that the standard of beauty for black women has not changed. If you take a look at all the popular black female movie stars and singers you'll see it ain't that many. I wonder why.

  • Didnt Neo JUST make a comment about "light skinned babies being the cutest?"

    -Tko

  • I agree. I was a sub. teacher in a pred. black school district and in the fall at majority of the schools, the homecoming court was overwhelmingly brown-skinned to dark-skin but the queens who won were very light. Also, one of my students (dark-skin male) made a comment about light skin ppl. having cute kids. Some of this classmates checked him and said cute and ugly comes in all colors, shapes, and sizes. This was in 2007.

  • The standard hasn't changed, at least not for black woman. The males in hip hop may be dark skinned but the woman that promote and glorify most certainly are not.

  • thanks

  • She is Latina, she is Puerto Rican, not African-American,,,may not be on topic but very important !
