@Tina13254 thanks for your response. I assume having priority would mean that maybe Tyler (for ex.) caught the past 3 waves and had more rides so Carissa is allowed to just grab the wave?
Priority is given to a surfer who makes it to the lineup or the peak first. In his case, Carissa made it to the peak first which gave her priority.
