@sambro89: The style of dance is called Bharata Naatyam. It is from the state of Tamil Naadu in southern India. This is a badly choreographed version, so it looks more like a martial art. The dancer unfortunately seems to have a bad teacher. This dance style is actually more graceful.

Rajashree obviously has talent and she can become a good Bharatanatyam dancer. But her teacher seems to be very confused and he has taught Rajashree kung-fu instead of Bharatanatyam. She should get a dance teacher instead of a martial artist.
