This is the opening to the early computer animation compilation "The Mind's Eye."
In 1990 Odyssey Productions gathered together shorts and demo reels from hundreds of artists working in the fledgling field of computer animation. These captivating computer generated videos were combined with an original score to give the world a look at the future of animation. Eventually these shorts would be licensed by YTV in Canada to be aired as "Short Circutz" in place of commercials.
Unlike later productions, The Mind's Eye was only released on VHS tape and Laserdisc. This is the higher quality Laserdisc release, carefully digitized.
HOLY SHIT, THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THESE FOR AGES!!!! They used to play them on televisions in computer stores. THANK YOU!!!

I originally gave my VHS copy of "The Mind's Eye" to my granddaughter because she loved it so much...Little did I know that, unlike the three sequels that followed, there would not be a Region 1 DVD release...I've always been curious why...One of the great mysteries of the universe, I suppose...Thank you, Jax184, for posting it...

FYI, there *is* a Hong Kong (region 3) DVD release of the original Mind's Eye which I have. You can still find it on hkflix either by itself or as part of a box set including a couple of other Mind's Eye productions.
