  • The band sounds like a swing outfit. Is it led by Buck Clayton?

  • @lesterwyoung No, this is not a Orchestra led by Buck Clayton, but by Carl Fisher who work with Frankie from his start with Mercury till his death in the mid fifties. He didn't always lead the Orchrstra but played the piano on most of Frankie's recordings.

  • Frankie brings excitement into any song. I have this on the album with That Old Feeling and Stars Fell on Alabama. It's fun reading comments from other Frankie Laine followers. I have loved Frankie since I was 11, but I know no one personally who even knows anything about Frankie Laine, except for Mule Train and Rawhide. I gave up long ago, but I know there are fans out there and I love it.

  • good old stuff!!

  • He sounds like he's channelling Billie Holliday before he starts to raise the energy level.

  • One of Frankie's quieter songs, very enjoyable, cheers
