Whenever a government is Maoist that means there is a Chinese foundation. In other words, China's own government policy somehow spread to Nepal. There is no justification for Nepal behaving like a dictator-communist nation. The very religion of Hinduism is interwoven into the history and culture which gives the nation a reputation for wise decision-making and peaceful attitude towards others. Please don't forget the royal family. they are not the enemy, but your ally.
