On Saturday August 29th, 2009 Taylor Muller Advanced Padi Diver went to visit the school bus which is underwater at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem, Pa. The water temperature around the bus was 64 degrees and freezing compared to the top water of the spring which was 72. Taylor is getting ready for her rescue diver course with the Hoboken Dive shop and was training in this video. We got to see a really big Rainbow Trout also who lives in and around the bus. Shown at the beginning of the dive is Roger and Taylor using a rope that is attached to a school bus to get to the diving site which is about a half mile away from the shore.

  • That bus is an international harvester

  • @chrysny413 Interesting. How do you know that?

  • Ahh good times, took some training divers with me and had my instructor friend teach them a bit at Dutch this past week-end then one of them told us to go to the surface when we got there we all said whats wrong then she said "nothing I just wanted to talk" ha funniest things happen at Dutch to me.

    FOREVER DIVING!

  • @sgtfury99 That is a funny story. Maybe the person was getting nervous about being under the water.

I was thinking about going last weekend, but I heard it was supposed to rain. How is the water now?

  • @sgtfury99 That is a funny story. Many new divers get nervous and make up good stories to get out from under the water.

  • how cold is it there? im thinking of going soon.

  • @openup291 The water is the warmest in the end of August into September. I would think it would be about 68 now. Dutch Springs has a website that shows the temperatures each month.

  • Im really into antique trucks. As soon as i saw the hoodlines i knew. Its from the 60s. Great vid by the way

  • @Rogerhockey999 Umm I did my search and recovery, peak performance, and night diver specialty that weekend so no pleasure diving but overall I was mostly in 5' vis from silt trying to rig a lift bag lolz but if you got in before everyone silted it up at the platforms it was about 30' pretty nice at 8 am :) and no rain only on Friday night I camped out and rained around 4-5am

  • @dwatt5 The camera I used was a Canon SD990. Taylor finished her rescue course two years ago and then finished the Jr Master Scuba Diver and now is 15 and is a Master Scuba Diver. Thanks for the note.
