Kerrera New Year's Day Football Match 2009

The traditional new year's day football match on the island of Kerrera in Scotland 2009. High stakes, high quality and high jinx indeed. This year the Islanders took on us, the visitors, and it has to be said - they outplayed, outgunned and [probably] outnumbered us - certainly if the dogs are counted in the equation! 10-5 I think the final score was .. But this was 2pm on New Year's Day 2009 and I honestly can't imagine a more stunning [and odd] place and time to be playing in such a game.

The weather was stunning - no-one could tell if the sun was coming up or going down - the football was glorious [!] - the company was exquisite - and the vibe was entirely unique.

Thanks to everyone who was there playing and watching - to Missy, Aileen and Jane [I think] who took most of the vids and pics .. and especially to Duncan .. for that outrageous goal about 5 minutes into the vid!!
