The beginning was a tad slow, but it worked well once you got to the Adagio. Some out of tune notes here and there, but overall fine. Also, I'm not to fond of the cellos playing the bass solo (I understand that it is not the orginal piece and you guys aren't professionals yet, but still).
But nevertheless, you all produced a fantastic performance and I applaud you for that.

For the lack of practice we had, we sounded better than we thought we would (I played first bass clarinet).
Woo! JAMS Class of 08 for life!

The tale of the Farewell Symphony goes like this. Haydn and the court orchestra were at the Prince's summer palace. But the stay there had been longer than expected, and most of the musicians had been forced to leave their wives back at home. Thus Haydn hinted to his patron to allow the musicians to return home by creating the effect of the final adagio where the musicians leave one by one. Esterházy seems to have understood the message as the court returned on the day following the performance.
