Obikwelu Breezes Through 100 Meters

Francis Obikewlu coasted to victory in the men's 100 meters Saturday at an IAAF outdoor meet in Seville, Spain, that was plagued by high winds and faulty equipment. The win gave Obikwelu, who scored his country's first sprint medal at the 2004 Athens Games, his first gold in the 100 meters since last year's European Championships. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

He choose to represent Portugal because Portugal gaves him the condicions to do what he likes in is life, that is running. And infortunately is natural country doesnt. Please shut up!

@mrbilingual I was actually being mildly ironic, we have international competitions that merely showcase the athletic dominance of people with African origin through international assimilation. What is the ethnic heritage of Portugal? A "european" Portuguese athlete wouldn't stand a chance. Modern athletics based on our original conceptions of Nationality is thus a bit of a misnomer. That is all I was intimating, but wasn't bothered writing this out originally.
